White House Expected to Focus on Buy American

A new presidential memorandum directing the government to use domestic materials and equipment for work on the nation’s oil pipelines does not directly affect federal contractors, but the administration’s Buy American preferences could easily be expanded, by increasing enforcement of the Buy American Act or even curtailing the viability of the Trade Agreements Act.
