Whistleblower Pulls Stop Request Cord: Bus Company Settles False Claims Act Allegations for $25 Million

Following a whistleblower report that Academy Bus, LLC was underreporting cancelled trips and overbilling the state for hours and miles driven, the company has settled with the New Jersey acting attorney general for $25 million, in the state’s largest non-healthcare False Claims Act settlement.
