US Official: American Companies Avoided Government Help with WannaCry, NotPetya

Very few businesses worked with the US government when the WannaCry and NotPetya ransomware attacks were at their peaks, which undermined efforts to monitor their scale and impact, according to an undersecretary at the Department of Homeland Security and other sources.
