The Commerce Department's newly imposed seven-year denial order against ZTE, in retaliation for the company's “egregious” failure to discipline employees who sold US technology to North Korea and Iran, prohibits it from engaging in virtually any trade or other activities involving U.S.-origin goods or technologies.
