Updates to State’s Allowances and Differential Rates
The State Department has issued updates to its allowances and differentials. A few highlights:
- Cairo’s Danger Pay has been eliminated, but post differential has been increased given continued political violence and terrorism threats.
- Danger Pay has been increased for “other” locations in Cameroon, DRC, Kenya and Nigeria.
- Living Quarters Allowances (LQA) and Education “At Post” have been adjusted to reflect currency exchange rate changes.
State is also using gender-neutral pronoun
