University of Hertfordshire Avoids Data Breach Action by UK Watchdog

The United Kingdom ICO has investigated an incident in which the names and email addresses of approximately 2,000 University of Hertfordshire students were accidentally included as an attachment in a bulk emailing promoting an art lecture, but has decided to take no further action. The university reported the breach of privacy as required under the GDPR, and has responded by improving its staff training, which satisfied the ICO.
