Unanimous Court Rejects Safeco Standard in Win for Plaintiffs

In a unanimous decision, the Supreme Court reversed and remanded two Seventh Circuit decisions, ruling that False Claims Act liability turns on whether defendants had a subjective belief that their claims were false, not whether their interpretation of a law or regulation was objectively reasonable.
