Expounding on one of the Cyberspace Solarium's recommendations, Representative Jim Langevin (D-RI) argues that Congress should hold companies accountable for developing information technology products that don’t follow cybersecurity best practices, including not just laptops and smartphones, but operating systems, application software, and industrial control systems.
