Texas Doctors and Hospital Exec to Pay Over $1.1 Million to Settle Alleged Kickback and Stark Violations

Seven doctors and a hospital executive in Texas have agreed to pay a total of over $1.1 million to settle allegations that the physicians were effectively paid to order lab tests for their patients from three specific medical laboratories, in a scheme which disguised these payments as investment proceeds from eight management service organizations.
