SW Florida Pain Clinics Pay Over $1.6 Million to Settle Kickback and False Billing Allegations

Collier Anesthesia Pain of Fort Myers and Tampa Pain Relief Center have agreed to pay $1,665,000 to resolve allegations that they engaged in an illegal kickback scheme, in which affiliated surgery centers waived copayments for surgical facility fees to induce patients to receive procedures, and improperly billed for evaluation and management services and psychological testing services.
