Senate Defense Bill Splits CIO Duties, Bans Kapersky Anti-Virus Software
The Senate version of the FY2018 defense authorization act would bar the Department of Defense from purchasing anti-virus software from Russian firm Kapersky, and would eliminate the position of DoD CIO, splitting the job's responsibilities between the department's chief management officer and a new chief information warfare officer.
