Ransomware Hackers Have Developed Tools to Take Down Infrastructure, Industry

A joint release from the FBI, NSA, CISA, and their counterparts in the United Kingdom and Australia warns that, although most malicious actors have been going after business and IT systems, some of them “have developed code designed to stop critical infrastructure or industrial processes.” The advisory includes recommendations for mitigating escalated ransomware attacks on infrastructure, including reduced reliance on remote access technology and tightly monitoring its use.
