People’s Privacy Act Introduced in Washington State House of Representatives

While the Washington Privacy Act appears poised to pass the Senate, the Washington People’s Privacy Act – a new competing bill in the House of Representatives, with support from the state's ACLU – would require opt-in consent for processing, create an Illinois-like biometric information privacy structure, and allow for a private right of action.
