Pentagon’s Anthropic Supply Chain Risk Declaration Raises Federal Contractor Concerns

Venable – On Friday, Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth announced via social media that he had directed the Department of Defense (DOD) to designate AI company Anthropic as a "Supply-Chain Risk to National Security." He indicated that not only would the DOD cease doing business with Anthropic, but that department contractors may also be prohibited from conducting any commercial activity with the company.
