Pentagon Official Sheds Light on Ongoing Industrial Base Study

Officials conducting an ongoing Defense Department-led study that is assessing the health of the defense industrial base will put pressure on companies to see how they will react to different operational contingencies, a Pentagon official says.“We’re going to be pressure testing the defense industrial base,” explained John McGinn, acting deputy assistant secretary of defense of the office of manufacturing and industrial base policy in the office of the undersecretary of defense for acquisitions, technology and logistics.
