The Paradise Papers: Reputation Has Become an Ethical Issue, Not a Legal One

In a commentary on FCPA Blog, Alison Taylor, director of advisory services at BSR, a non-profit consultancy and company network focused on sustainability and CSR, says that while many of the financial practices revealed in the Paradise Papers are legal, they nonetheless create reputational problems for businesses. "As legal and ethical arguments become disaggregated, the wise choice for today’s companies is to behave as if everything they say or do might become public," Taylor writes.
