Miami Businessman Sentenced to Almost 3 Years for Bribes to PetroEcuador Officials

Armengol Alfonso Cevallos Díaz, an Ecuadorian living in Miami, has been sentenced to 35 months in prison for a $4.4 million bribery and money laundering scheme that funneled bribes to officials of Empresa Pública de Hidrocarburos del Ecuador (PetroEcuador).
