Maritime Industry Sees 400% Increase in Attempted Cyberattacks Since February 2020

Since the COVID-19 pandemic exploded in February, causing the maritime shipping industry to increase its use of technology and telework, sea transportation firms have experienced a 400 percent increase in attempted hacks, largely in the form of malware, ransomware, and phishing emails.
