GAO: OMB Should Update Inspector General Reporting Guidance to Increase Rating Consistency and Precision

As directed by FISMA, GAO looked at 23 civilian agencies to assess how effectively they implemented their cybersecurity policies, and to find out the extent to which officials consider FISMA to be effective at improving the security of their information systems.
