Former Department Head at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center Pleads Guilty to Federal Charges in Maryland for Accepting Gratuities

David Laufer, former Chief of the Prosthetics and Orthotics Department at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center, has pleaded guilty to accepting gratuities from the owner of an unidentified supplier in exchange for steering purchases from Walter Reed to the vendor.
