Former CISA Director Wants New Agency to Lead Federal Cybersecurity

Original CISA director Chris Krebs is arguing that the federal government should create a new agency “focused on empowering better digital risk management services.” If Congress is unwilling to do that, he suggests that his former agency should be separated from the Department of Homeland Security, as a sub-cabinet-level agency, to give it the autonomy and change of focus to fulfill these needs.
