Former CEO Charged Over Corruption Involving More Than $288,000

Goh Chan Peng, the former chief executive officer of manufacturing firm Beyonics Technology, has been charged with accepting nearly $300,000 in bribes from two companies – Nedec, a manufacturer of precision components, and Kodec, which deals with electrical equipment – in exchange for his help procuring $2.5 million in grants for the companies. Goh faces one count each of agreeing to receive a bribe and dealing with the benefits of criminal conduct.
