FCC’s Proposed Privacy Regulations Lack Definition of Breach, Consumer Harm

The Federal Communications Commission proposed broadband privacy regulations closely resemble the Federal Trade Commission’s approach to privacy, and would require internet service providers to obtain user “opt-in” consent before using a wide range of sensitive information, including geo-location, children’s information, health or financial data, web browsing and app usage history, and the content of communications.
