FBI Issues Warning about “Cuba” Ransomware Attacks

The FBI warns that the threat group behind the Cuba ransomware – named for the .cuba file extension of its encrypted files – has compromised at least 49 entities in the government, healthcare, financial, information technology, and manufacturing sectors, as of last month, demanding at least $74 million in ransom.
