Executive Order – Adjusting Certain Delegations Under the Defense Production Act

The President recently issued an executive order that makes two changes to existing energy and defense policy frameworks. First, the order expands the Defense Production Act's authority by amending Executive Order 13603 to grant the Secretary of Energy, alongside the Commerce Secretary, independent authority to delegate national defense resource preparedness powers.
