Energy Department Never Blacklists Risky Nuclear Tech Vendors, GAO Says

In 2013, Congress authorized the Secretary of Energy – on the determination of the National Nuclear Security Administration – to prohibit vendors that “present a significant supply chain risk” from winning contracts related to the country’s nuclear weapons programs.
