DOJ Corporate Compliance Certifications Appear to Be Here to Stay

As part of its renewed focus on corporate crime, the Department of Justice is requiring chief compliance officers and CEOs to certify the effectiveness of their company’s compliance program in all corporate criminal resolutions, including guilty pleas, non-prosecution agreements and deferred prosecution agreements, at the end of the term of the agreement.
