DOD Scholarship Program Replaces Military-Style Cyber Academy in NDAA

Senator Kirsten Gillibrand (D-NY), who has advocated the creation of a military services-style academy as a way to develop more cybersecurity workers, has shifted her support to a provision in the NDAA to offer cyber scholarships to students at existing colleges and universities, in exchange for a commitment to work with the department for a specified period of time.
