Doctor Sentenced to Almost 8 Years in Prison for Fraud Scheme
Physician Donald Woo Lee of California has been sentenced to 93 months in prison after being found guilty of defrauding Medicare by falsely diagnosing patients and “upcoding” the procedures he performed for higher reimbursements, repackaging single-use-certified catheters for re-use, and making false statements in a bankruptcy proceeding.
