Defense CIO, Undersecretary Promote Apprenticeships for Cybersecurity Hiring

Department of Defense CIO John Sherman and Undersecretary for Acquisition and Sustainment William LaPlante have issued a memo asking high-ranking officials within the military to consider using apprenticeships and other “nontraditional pathways” to hire qualified cybersecurity professionals who don’t necessarily have a formal college education.
