Cyberspace Solarium Alumni Expect Cyber-Hardening Mandates for Defense Contractors
Cyberspace Solarium Commission executive director Mark Montgomery and Erica Borghard, a task force leader with the commission, expect the federal government to require the defense industrial base to better harden against cyberattacks. Montgomery anticipates that the Pentagon will require cyber intelligence sharing and threat-hunting capabilities from suppliers, as the commission recommended. Borghard hopes that industry “can craft a way of improving public-private collaboration for this particularly unique relationship, in a way that takes into account the concerns of private actors, as well as the government.”
