Commerce CIO: SolarWinds Prompted Development of Unified Security Plan

Commerce Department CIO André Mendes said recently that the 2020 SolarWinds attack led him and other IT leaders in the agency to work together more closely on unified cybersecurity plans, rather than their continuing with their previous siloed approach, in which each bureau was responsible for its own security.
