Colonial Pipeline Undertaking “Incremental” Resumption of Pipeline Operations after Ransomware Attack

After last week's Darkside ransomware attack forced Colonial Pipeline to shut down operations on its liquid fuel pipelines on Friday, the company said on Monday that it aims to substantially restore operational service “by the end of the week.” Colonial resumed services on smaller lateral lines on Sunday, and plans to resume operations “in a stepwise fashion,” but its core lines remained shut down at that time.
