Canadian Credit Unions Settle Claim of Insider Data Breach Enabled by Lax Security

Canadian financial services cooperative Desjardins Group will pay over 200 million Canadian dollars (US$155 million) to settle class action lawsuits over a breach disclosed in 2019, in which an insider sold the personal information of 4.2 credit union members.
