Auction Buyer Beware: No Refund for Misdescribed Motors

The contractor sought damages from GSA for three outboard motors purchased through an online auction, claiming they were misdescribed as “factory rebuilt.” The CBCA rejected the claim, finding that the contractor had not provided timely notice of the alleged misdescription nor had she inspected the motors before bidding, both of which were required under the auction terms.
