Aetna to Pay $17M in HIV Privacy Breach Lawsuit

Aetna is settling a lawsuit for over $17 million over a non-hacking privacy breach, in which the insurer sent out letters which potentially revealed the HIV status of almost 12,000 customers in 23 states.
