A False Claims Act FY 2025 Year in Review

Mayer Brown – The False Claims Act (FCA) is the government’s principal weapon against fraud. It is a broad and flexible statute that was intended to “reach all types of fraud, without qualification, which might result in financial loss to the Government.” Because of its breadth, it can be used in myriad ways—some traditional and others novel. With fiscal year 2025 ending last week, we look back to see how FCA enforcement is evolving to reflect the priorities of the new Trump Administration.
