DoD Asks for Feedback from the Defense Industrial Base and Acquisition Stakeholders

DoD has issued a letter to the defense industrial base and other acquisitons stakeholders, inviting them suggest Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and Defense FAR Supplement (DF ARS) changes to help achieve three key objectives: 1) Field technology and modernizing systems at a rate that outpaces our adversaries; 2) Increase production capacity to deliver wartime surge capacity for key capabilities; and 3) put the entire acquisition system and the industrial base on a wartime footing.
