Hegseth Says DOGE Will Review Unclassified DoD Contracts
In a May 27, 2025, memo to senior Pentagon leadership, Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth states that DOGE will now "have the opportunity to provide input on all unclassified contracts." The memo further provides that DOGE can review requirements packages for change orders and agreement modifications that increase the contract price.
