Trump Administration Scraps Over 80% of USAID Programs, Top Diplomat Rubio Says

The Trump administration has canceled more than 80 percent of all the programs at U.S. Agency for International Development following a six-week review, according to U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio. He said 5200 contracts are now cancelled. The remaining 1000 or so contracts will now be run the State Department. Rubio thanks the Department of Government Efficiency for “achiev[ing] this overdue result.
