Late is Late

An unforgiving rule dictated by the FAR, “Late is late” is strictly enforced by COs and rarely second-guessed by the GAO. To ensure your electronic submission is timely, a best practice described in this Govconjudicata article is to send it one working day before the deadline. The additional time provides a cushion to deal with technical or human-caused glitches, such as internet disruptions, and quarantined emails and attachments due to anti-virus screening. At the very least, send your submission 4-6 hours in advance, and always ask for confirmation of receipt.
