Former USAID Mission Director Admits to Being a Client of Commercial Sex Ring

A retired former Senior Foreign Service Officer who served as a USAID Mission Director overseas told USAID OIG and State Department Diplomatic Security Special Agents that he solicited and paid commercial sex workers. He did this while on Temporary Duty (TDY) and when he was assigned overseas. The Department of Justice declined to pursue federal criminal charges. USAID must now decide what action to take.
