USAID is First Federal Customer for ChatGPT Enterprise
According to an article in FedScoop, USAID intends to use AI to reduce administrative burdens and facilitate partnerships with new and local organizations. USAID has fewer classified systems than other agencies which gives it more flexibility to undertake such an initiative, especially for localization efforts.
USAID’s new Digital Policy 2024-2034 fully supports the responsible use of AI for its development programs and operations. The implementing partners should expect full transparency and consultation when USAID uses AI in the solicitation, negotiation, award and administration of contracts, grants, and cooperative agreements.
