Ransomware Payments Doubled to More than $1 Billion Last Year

Chainalysis reports that in 2023 payments to extortionists using ransomware more than doubled over the previous year to $1.1 billion, with Palo Alto Networks citing data-leak sites' reports of “a 49% increase in victims.”
