AECOM and Louisiana Object that New Allegations Were Added to FCA Suit

Engineering and construction firm AECOM and the Louisiana Department of Education have objected that the federal government has added new allegations to a False Claims Act suit against them, which they call unfair “gamesmanship.” The original suit was filed by a former AECOM employee in 2016, alleging that the company manipulated repair and replacement assessments in its role as a contractor for a FEMA program to assist universities and other institutions damaged by Hurricane Katrina in 2005.
