Delaware CSO Wants More Federal Leadership on Cybersecurity

Speaking at the Fortinet Security Transformation Summit, Delaware CSO Solomon Adote said that states such as his want the federal government to take a leadership role in setting information security standards, conducting research, and sharing threat intelligence, so states aren’t “looking in the wrong direction when we get the tap from behind.” He cited escalating ransomware attacks as a current threat, and artificial intelligence, machine learning, and quantum computing as emerging challenges that states will have difficulty addressing on their own.
