Cybersecurity Grants Offer Much-Needed Resources for State and Local Governments

In a commentary piece, Stacy O'Mara of Mandiant argues that in the current geopolitical cybersecurity situation, the defense depends on getting back to basics: “leveraging various tools for hardening networks, detecting malicious activity and practicing good cyber hygiene.” O'Mara is optimistic that the $1 billion in grants provided by the 2021 Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act will give state and local organizations much needed resources.
