CISA Director Praises Partnerships with Hackers

CISA director Jen Easterly has likened the unlikely partnerships needed between CISA and the hacker community to the unexpected collaboration between 1970s rockers Aerosmith and 1980s rappers Run DMC on their hit re-recording of “Walk This Way.” In a discussion at the DEF CON hacker gathering with event founder Jeff Moss, Easterly explained that CISA's wish to build trusting relationships with the hacker community—which are needed in a crisis—was the reason it was participating in the conference.
