Accredited Marketplace Would Unify Federal Cyber Efforts

In a commentary for Lawfare, Michael McLaughlin, former senior counterintelligence advisor for United States Cyber Command, and Harvey Rishikof, senior counsel of the American Bar Association standing committee on Law and National Security's advisory committee, say that federal cybersecurity standards and contractual mandates aren't enough to ensure the security of defense systems or the defense industrial base.  "Fundamental structural change is needed to rapidly identify large-scale threat activity and take coordinated action to thwart it," they write.
