Ireland Fines Facebook €17 Million for Issues Related to 2018 Data Breaches

Ireland’s Data Protection Commission has assessed a fine of €17 million (about $18.6 million) against Facebook’s parent company Meta, for violating the GDPR in relation to the mishandling of personal data in twelve data breaches in 2018.
